SICFest 2025
Experience the Harmony: Sarawak International Choral Festival & Symposium | 13–15 June 2025 | Kuching, Sarawak
Come and be part of the Sarawak International Choral Festival & Symposium (SICFest & SICSym) in the lively and culturally rich city of Kuching, Sarawak. This exciting event brings together choirs from across Malaysia and beyond to sing, learn, and celebrate together.
The festival begins with a colourful Opening Ceremony, featuring a traditional cultural performance, as well as special appearances by the SICFest Children’s Choir and the SICFestival Choir. It’s a great way to kick off three days of music and connection.
One of the main highlights is the Adjudicated Performances, where choirs present their songs and receive helpful comments and feedback from a panel of experienced international judges.
The SIC Symposium includes workshops and masterclasses led by international choral experts. These sessions are designed to help choir members and conductors improve their skills, learn new techniques, and grow musically.
The fun continues at the Friendship Concerts, held in local shopping malls, where choirs perform in a more casual setting. It’s a great chance to share music, make new friends, and bring the joy of choral singing to the wider community.
The festival concludes with an exciting Closing & Awards Ceremony, featuring the Grand Prix Competition, where category winners compete for the festival trophy and a cash prize. As a special highlight, the ceremony will also include a guest performance by the renowned Kinderchor der Staatsoper Unter den Linden from Berlin, Germany. Whether you're performing, learning, or just enjoying the music, SICFest 2025 promises a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone.
