Tommes was until recently known in Penang as “Chef Tommes”, the guy from the Asian Food Channel with his long running TV series “Chalk and Cheese” and restaurant “That Little Wine Bar”, who drives to the market on his ridiculously loud Harley. The restaurant is closed since quite a while and he has more time for his artistic side.
Before coming to Malaysia Tommes has not just worked as a cook but also made a living as a painter, sculptor, novelist, poet, musician, playwright … and now he is doing Stand Up Comedy as the "German Comedian in Malaysia".
