Lauren Tan

Lauren made her stage debut in Her Story | His Story in Penang, March 1-2 2024.

And venturing outside her comfort zone, she dipped her toes in a Bahasa Melayu production, "Aci Patmabi" in October 2024, which was part of Pesta Teater USM.

2025 saw Lauren flex her acting chops in 2 lead roles in 2 of Fa Abdul's original productions, "Us: A Journey of Love, Loss & Belonging" and "In A Better World".

Advocating is truly embedded in her DNA as she uses her voice under different guises. A lawyer and accredited mediator, Lauren writes short stories in her free time and tutors reading to children with learning challenges through her alter-ego MyLiteracyAdvocate.

Married to a fellow lawyer and being a proud mother to 2 teenaged boys (and an ardent fan of John Mayer’s artistry), Lauren enjoys yoga and Pilates, and spending time with people over a steaming cup of bru coffee.

Lauren believes in the inherent goodness of people and views the stage as another channel of impactful advocacy and creative self-expression.
