Jocelyn is a soprano training under mezzo-soprano YiLing Chiang since 2020. She holds a high Distinction in Grade 8 classical vocal exam from Trinity College London.
Actively performing as a hobbyist, she sang in operas such as Bizet’s Carmen (2022), Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore (2023), Puccini’s La Bohème (2024) with the KL City Opera Chorus, where she also served as Soprano Section Lead (2023-2025). She was also in the chorus for Verdi’s La Traviata in a concertante production by MOV Asia Korea (2023), performing alongside the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.
She is currently an active member of Fiamma Opera Studio, where she performed in pocket opera of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte as First Lady (2023), chorus in the MPYO at the Opera Concert (2025) by Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and was part of the Solace of Papan ‘Kinta Tin Ore’ chorus piece premiere at Embrace Timeless Adventure concert (2025) by PJPO.
Her broader stage work includes musicals such as Bernstein’s West Side Story (2024) by Bentley Music Academy, Kapitan the musical (2025) by Opus Harmonia Association, concerts such as KLCO’s Voices of Children (2024), Tutan Entertainment’s Broadway & Beyond (2024), Symphonic Rock (2024) and Symphonic Rock 2.0 (2025). She also performed in various functions and events as chorus and backing vocals.
She also participated in the Italian international vocal competition The Song, co-organized by the Rossini Conservatory, where she earned 2nd place in both the Classical Solo (VII age) and Duet categories in 2021. In 2023, she competed in the Amadeus International Music Awards Salzburg, winning the Honour Prize in the Voice (Professional) category.
