About the Show
Helen Copeland of a publishing house 'Love is All Around', specializing in romantic fiction is looking for new female authors. A competition is declared and the winner is…Lola Banbury, a pseudonym of an aspiring writer whose real name is Leonard Loftus. To sign the publishing contract and to bank in the sizeable prize, Leonard has to keep up appearances…
With the scheming help of his ‘disarmer’ of a teenage daughter Dee Dee and his ‘charmer’ of a father Gus, the straight-jacketed Leo has to masquerade as Lola even as Helen insists on visiting him/her to sign the contract.
The expected shenanigans ensue as each character tries to secure an outcome that is to his/her advantage - but is something serious emerging in the thick of all this brouhaha? It’s a fortunate thing that nobody’s perfect - and yes, Love is All Around!

Cast Biography
Christopher Miley came to Penang from Sydney in 2015. In Sydney he sang with some of that city’s leading a cappella choruses, both contemporary and barbershop. Christopher also has a passion for singing sacred choral music. In Penang he has performed in a range of musical theatre, with principal roles in several Gilbert and Sullivan productions. Christopher had his first entry into stage acting with the part of the Bishop in ‘A Plague Upon Your House’ during the pandemic. He thoroughly enjoyed his time on stage and is now looking forward to being Gus in ‘Nobody’s Perfect’.
Fibie indulges herself with exploring several art forms such as painting, make-up artistry, writing and performance. Her experience in theatre consists of playing Esmeralda in 'A Plague Upon Your House' by Penang Players, and Skal in 'Forkbeard The Musical'. She has also sang with the Penang Philharmonic Chamber Choir. While focused in the field of semiconductor physics research and engineering, her artistic needs are still nurtured through crafts and live performances. She is elated to embody her new role as Dee Dee, the irreverent yet caring teenager in 'Nobody’s Perfect'.
Derick Tan is thrilled to be a part of 'Nobody's Perfect' as Leonard. With little more than a passion for theatre and a Bachelor's in Media Production, he steps in to bring Lenny to life! Previously Gerry in the 'Murder Game' by Penang Players, Derick hopes to make his second show a one to remember.
Rachel Yeoh is known for being particularly expressive with her facial expressions, which led her to the performing arts. She loves being on stage and started her journey during her church’s Christmas shows when she was five. She found her voice at 11 when she realised she could carry a tune. She later discovered she could engage audiences through her writing as well. She is currently an editor and a writer, and has acted in various shows in Penang such as 'Memes: A Love Story', 'A Couple of Secrets', and 'The Murder Game', just to name a few.
