About Trainer:  Fhabi Fajardo

Fhabi Fajardo is a passionate educator, facilitator, and artist from the Philippines with over 25 years of experience in expressive storytelling and creative community work.

She is the director of Philippine Playback Theatre and Dulambuhay where she and her team use story-based approaches to support:

  • High school students in developing values
  • Voters’ education and non-formal learning for adults
  • Communities affected by disasters
  • Victims of political violence and enforced disappearances
  • Social justice and trauma healing efforts

Fhabi studied Creative Writing and Cultural Work at the University of the Philippines (Diliman), and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Transformational Development at Eastern College in Australia.

During her studies, she conceived the idea of “Expressive Theology” — an innovative framework that integrates theology with the expressive arts, notably utilizing playback theatre in storytelling and movement.

For over 25 years, she served with the Institute for Studies in Asian Church and Culture (ISACC) and now contributes as their media consultant and program director.

She was also the first Filipino to join the Leadership Course at the Centre for Playback Theatre in New York, where she trained under the founders of the practice: Jonathan Fox, Kayo Munakata, and Veronica Needa.

Fhabi brings warmth, creativity, and deep insight into every space she holds — helping people find their voice, heal through stories, and connect with each other authentically.
