國際舞蹈家許芳宜：《我心我行》講座與《身體要快樂》工作坊

At the invitation of Tea Philo, a lecture series revolving around the latest cultural and social trends, world-renowned dancer and choreographer Sheu Fang-yi will speak about her never-ending artistic journey at the Damansara Performing Arts Centre September 28. A workshop highlighting Sheu’s long years of dedication to boosting happiness through understanding one’s own body will be led by the artist herself following the talk. 

*The talk will be conducted in Mandarin Chinese, and admission is free-of-charge. 
*The workshop is designed for general public, so no dance experience is required. English interpretation service will be provided, and registration is at RM50 per person. 

應「Tea Philo哲學茶席」之邀，國際知名舞者許芳宜將於2024年9月28日（星期六）親臨馬來西亞，在白沙羅表演藝術中心（Damansara Performing Arts Centre）舉辦以「我心我行」為題的講座，並主持「身體要快樂」工作坊。她將分享自己的舞蹈旅程、經驗與心得，並透過工作坊帶領大家認識身體、認識自己，體驗身體感知覺醒的喜悅。

*講座將以華語進行，入場免費。
*工作坊以一般民眾為對象，不論有無舞蹈基礎，都可報名參加，現場將提供英語口譯，報名費為每人 RM50。

ABOUT ARTIST  許芳宜簡介

A contemporary dance artist celebrated internationally for her exceptional techniques and artistry, Sheu was born in Yilan, Taiwan. Fresh out of college in 1994 as a dance major, she went to New York to pursue her dance career. She joined Martha Graham Dance Company the following year and became its principal dancer in 1999. During her time with the company, she became one of the most recognizable faces in the global modern dance scene for her powerful yet elegant style. Some even praised her as “the finest present-day embodiment of Martha Graham’s technique and tradition.”

Through her artistic journey to date, Sheu has been a pioneering figure. Aside from being awarded with Order of Brilliant Star with Cravat in 2005, she became the youngest recipient of Taiwan’s National Cultural Award in 2008. Though mostly known as a dance artist, Sheu has also devoted herself to cross-disciplinary experiments, and is best known for her performance in films “Touch of the Light” and “The Assasin.” In 2022 she starred in the semi-autobiography film “Salute” and won Best Action Design Award at the 59th Golden Horse Awards.

許芳宜出生於台灣宜蘭，國立藝術學院（今台北藝術大學）舞蹈系畢業後，1994年赴美國紐約發展，1999年成為瑪莎葛蘭姆舞團（Martha Graham Dance Company）首席舞者，在國際舞壇享有盛名。其在藝術道路上寫下諸多紀錄，除了被譽為「美國現代舞之母瑪莎葛蘭姆的傳人」，在台灣獲頒「五等景星勳章」，並成為「國家文藝獎」有史以來最年輕的得主；多年來也投入跨域創作，最廣為人知的是參與電影《逆光飛翔》及《刺客聶隱娘》的演出，2022年主演半自傳電影《我心我行》，並獲得第59屆金馬獎最佳動作設計獎。
