Synopsis:
30 November 2024 (Saturday), 3pm
- Tiger’s Pickled Eyeball
Directed & Written by Teacher Jeremy Ang; Performed by Amazing Primary Group
Sang Kancil (Mousedeer) and their family are terrified by a hungry tiger on the prowl. But fear not! With a dash of quick thinking and a very unusual snack suggestion, they cook up a plan to send the tiger packing—and a bear…. too, perhaps? A hilarious tale of wit, survival, and one very questionable “eyeball”?! - Spirit of Bambarayon – Part 1
Directed & Written by Axyr William; Performed by Brilliant Primary
In the beginning, two powerful gods brought forth a daughter, and peace reigned over the land—until disaster struck. As calamity threatened their people, Kinoingan, the father, embarked on a perilous journey in search of answers, leaving behind his wife, Suminondu, and their daughter, Pinozubung. On the sacred peak of a mountain, Suminondu is faced with an agonizing decision—one that will forever alter the fate of their people and the land they cherish. - Spirit of Bambarayon – Part 2
Directed & Written by Axyr William; Performed by Energetic Primary
With the crops withering and despair creeping in, Suminondu must make a heart-shattering choice. Pinozubung, in a selfless act of love, offers herself as a sacrifice, a decision that shakes the very fabric of the world. Her sacrifice not only saves the land but also ensures the prosperity of future generations. The spirit of Pinozubung, now Bambarayon, lives on, a powerful reminder of the bond between life, sacrifice, and the earth. - Badang
Devised by Teacher Farah Rani & Students; Performed by Courageous Secondary
A humble fisherman, Badang, gains immense strength from a magical encounter, becoming the most legendary warrior of ancient times. - Princess Santubong and Princess Sejinjang
Directed & Written by Teacher Jeremy Ang; Performed by Dynamic Primary
Two celestial sisters, Princess Santubong and Princess Sejinjang, engage in a battle for supremacy over beauty and skill. Their rivalry shatters the peace of Sarawak, causing chaos among the people as mountains tremble and villages flood. Will they ever admit to the destruction they caused? - Mahsuri
Devised by Teacher Farah Rani & Students; Performed by Fantastic Secondary
A well-known legend of beauty, betrayal, and a powerful curse, Mahsuri’s innocent blood stains the fate of Langkawi for generations.
