Alan Menken has won multiple awards throughout his decades as a composer. MSS SINGS ALAN MENKEN pays tribute to his masterworks with songs from Aladdin, Beauty &amp; the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors, Newsies, Sister Act, Hercules, Tangled, Pocahontas, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Dennis Lee, a seasoned actor, singer, and tech entrepreneur, has a wealth of experience in the performing arts. In his career as a musical theatre performer, Dennis has graced the stage in leading roles in productions like “Living Together”, “Avenue Q”, and “Fame the Musical.” He’s also been a part of numerous other noteworthy shows, including “A Streetcar Named Desire,” “Euphrasia the Musical,” and “Medicine Buddha the Musical.” Dennis’ talent and dedication to the arts have earned him awards such as the Mercedes-Benz Award for Creative Excellence and the Best Supporting Actor Award in Short+Sweet Malaysia.

In the realm of technology and entrepreneurship, Dennis co-founded CloudJoi, a groundbreaking digital ticketing and streaming platform. Sher Maine was introduced to the world of Musical Theatre at the age of 16, where she played the Lead in her high school production. She then joined Monday Show in 2016, she has since received her musical theatre training. Sher Maine was also a part of the 2018 T4YP ensemble. In 2017, Sher Maine made her stage debut as Iris in FAME the musical. Her most recent stage credits are The Story of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva (Asia Musical Productions 2022), MSS Sings Sondheim (Monday Show 2022), Euphrasia the Musical (2019-2020), 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee the Musical (Monday Show 2019).

With her first dance class at the age of 4, Si Jin has never shied away from the stage since, aiming to tell stories for the rest of her life. She has trained in musical theatre under Monday Show School since 2021 and is currently a full-time Diploma in Performing Arts student in Sunway University. Most recently, she debuted in her first full-length musical Once On This Island under Monday Show School as the Dance Captain and ensemble member. She’s been a part of devising ‘Contract’ for Howls Collective’s 24 Hours, and ‘Discord/Discard’ by Theatresauce for YSDAF 2023, both under director Kelvin Wong. She was a dancer for Nikki Palikat’s performance 'Depresi’ in All Stars Gegar Vaganza and for Selangor Phil’s Music from Movies & Musicals under choreographer Megan Chng. She has also been an intern for Monday Show School throughout 2023, along the way taking on the role of stage manager for Small Stage: Prelude. 


Past credits include numerous regional & national dance performances & competitions, placing 2nd in the PKK Tuanku Bainun Monologue Competition 2022, and performing in MSS's ‘22 & ‘23 Small Stages.


Fuelled by inspiration (and caffeine), she loves helping others in the pursuit of finding individuality and confidence. She personifies adrenaline and shares an alter ego with MCU's Loki. She can often be found belting out tenor I Want songs and learning Broadway dance repertoire in her free time (if she even has any).

Throughout highschool, college, and his often-changing jobs, and not to mention a global wide pandemic, his constant has always been the stage.

Coupled with a flair for public speaking and hosting events, notable achievements include hosting Sunway Lagoon's Ong Lai Festival 2024 and Sunway's Golden Jubilee Mega Roadshow 2024, showcasing adaptability and professionalism in high-profile environments. 

Trained in acting, singing, and dancing for musical theater, Zahid has been apart of Monday Show School since 2019. He has performed in their “Small Stage” semestral shows since, and their latest production being "Once On This Island" & “MSS Sings Alan Menken” as part of the ensemble cast and core dancer.

He was also in dance ensemble and had a featured solo on “Get On Your Feet” in September 2023, organized by Cancer Research Malaysia, under director Sabrina Hassan and choreographer Farah Sulaiman. 

With Selangor Philharmonic Society’s “Music from Movies & Musicals”, he was one of six featured dancers under choreographer Megan Chng. 

His past credits also include scare actor for Sunway's Nights of Fright 8 (2022), ensemble cast in “Creative Differences” by The KL Players,“Click Click Boom”, and “Erase”, in the Musical category for Short + Sweet 2021.

Lee Han graduated from UCSI University with a First Class Honours, holding a Bachelor of Contemporary Music (Hons). As a versatile keyboardist, he performed in numerous musical theater productions such as: ‘The Working Dead’, and ‘Fortune Kooky’ by KuLT Productions, ‘That’s Entertainment’ and ‘The Producers’ by PAN Productions. He was also the pianist for the 18th Boh Cameronian Arts Awards’ live band.

Other than his performing career, Lee Han does transcribing on the side. He was involved with the Malaysian Real Book Project, spearheaded by Michael Veerapen to transcribe numerous Malaysian tunes, released in January 2022.

“Dream Big!” he says. Richard Tan is a full time office guy in the day, and always interested to watch and explore the world of performing, and finally took a step. 

He likes trying out different characters and being in different people’s shoes to see the world. Starting out performing in church and university, then came back to learn more about performing in his late 20s. He also joined Monday School Show since 2021.

Richard’s most recent appearance is Don’t Let Hantu Know, presented by The Actors Studio Seni Teater Rakyat & MUKA SPAC.

Veronica is a tech startup founder by day and a musical theatre actress by night. She began her training in musical theatre with Monday Show School in 2020 and has since performed in several local shows.  She made her first debut last year with the KL Players in their annual show called “Creative Differences” (2022). Her other works include previous Small Stage showcases with Monday Show School of Musical Theatre, The Actors Studio Seni Teater Rakyat’s “You, Me and the Big C” (2022), Fa Abdul’s “Her Story” (2023) and most recently, Amberjade Arts’ “Opium By Any Other Name” (2023).

Dominic has worn many hats over the past two decades of his performing arts career: actor for stage and film, director, producer, critic, adjudicator, lecturer, singing and acting trainer, music director, production manager. Clearly his passion is in training performers to become stronger storytellers on stage, and to grow more confident offstage.

Dom holds a bachelor’s degree in music (vocal pedagogy) and performing arts from LASALLE College of the Arts (Singapore), a master’s degree in gender studies, and in historical musicology, with additional training in choral conducting and singing for musical theatre from Brandeis University and Harvard University (Boston, USA).

He has lectured at UITM, ASWARA, Sunway University, and UPM where he taught improvisation for actors, acting through song, vocal technique, ensemble singing and acting, theatre history, and musical theatre. In 2012, Dom co-founded Monday Show Entertainment with Benjamin Lin, a company which is now home to the most vibrant musical theatre school in the country. He is also an executive judge for the Kakiseni Cameronian Awards, and is Malaysian’s first and only drama examiner for Trinity College London.

Dominic has conducted many masterclasses and workshops for learners of all levels in cities like Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Bangkok, Manila, Singapore, Boston, New Yok, Atlanta, and Ho Chi Minh.

全新劇場作品《夢的故事》由馬來西亞「平台計劃／劇團」與日本「亜細亜の骨」跨國製作。集結日本、台灣與馬來西亞三方的表演藝術工作者，以「夢」為核心，結合多種表演藝術形式，解放深埋於潛意識的瘋狂自我，探索人在虛構與現實、歷史與當代曖昧交織下的心靈圖像。 
 
《夢的故事》由一群滯留於夢境海關的人們開始，百無聊賴之下，開始分享彼此的夢境故事。在這一個又一個的故事中，現代人生活的焦慮、壓抑的慾望，都在夢中變化成了時而瘋狂戲謔、時而優美詩意的幻想場景。更由於藉由東方文化中夢境與死亡連結的模糊地帶，為演出增添一抹亦真亦假的傳奇色彩。

本次展演以貝多芬《永恆的愛人》書信發想編創，由臺灣、德國兩地文字、音樂與影像藝術創作者跨域製作。

When three sisters returned after many years to their old family home in Huwei, Yunlin, they found that their uncle, aunt, third great-uncle, and second great-aunt had hardly aged a day; only the passage of time had left its mark on the derelict house. The sisters, initially falling over each other to waive their right to inheritance, in an unexpected series of events were drawn into their second great-uncle&rsquo;s dying wish&mdash;the Song family member that performs in the soul-guiding song troupe may receive the family&#039;s multimillion-dollar inheritance. The three sisters took on the challenge; with aim of splitting the inheritance, they started from scratch and retrained themselves in the art of the soul-guiding song. As they searched through the small town, they unexpectedly evoked memories of their long-lost father&mdash;a gambler and Taoist priest, and their mother, a professional mourner, and the estranged family ties, at long last, emerged one after another.
