關於
While SHORT+SWEET Malaysia’s 2020 season was a story of perseverance, interrupted by the CMCO only to resume in early 2021, the all-new 2021 season will be a celebration of its return to its home in Pentas 2.
With the exception of SHORT+SWEET Film (which will premiere online on CloudTheatre), the remaining segments will be performed live over a compact 2-week period in Kuala Lumpur before continuing in Penang. Starting with SHORT+SWEET Stand-Up Comedy & Song on 10 November, it will continue with SHORT+SWEET Film and SHORT+SWEET Musical that same week before crossing over to SHORT+SWEET Dance and Theatre the following week.
After a gloomy year spent mostly in isolation, SHORT+SWEET is set to spread some cheer with its array of bite-sized theatrical treats by 36 competing groups featuring almost 60 performers (but not all on stage at once - SOPs are a must!). With each piece just 10 minutes or under and lightning quick changes, variety is the key of the game as you never know what’s next.
Audiences can join in the fun by voting for their favourite to determine the Audience Choice Award winner. The winners will be announced on the final night of each segment.
Hosted nightly by the Festival Director Dato’ Dr. Faridah Merican herself, come celebrate the return of SHORT+SWEET Malaysia and the magic of live performances.
