Arabesque, warm colors, sunshine, olives and romance come to mind when one thinks of Iberia. These qualities translate into the music composition of the region, resulting in a compendium of richly colored and rhythmic music with slender and interlacing melody lines not unlike the patterns on arabesque of the region, yet often carrying some folk dance elements. These elements further influence the music in Latin America, which further develops into distinctive local styles. Come experience a groovy kind of classical music from Iberia and Latin America, featuring selectsions of works such as Suite Espa&ntilde;ola (Alb&eacute;niz), Marzukas by T&aacute;rrega, Siete canciones populares espa&ntilde;olas (Falla), Histoire du Tango (Piazzolla), Bachianas Braseiliera (Villa-Lobos) and more.

Hailing from Sarawak, Scott has been an avid choral singer since young. He has taken on a variety of roles in the classical music landscape, including lay clerk, choirmaster, musical director, talent agent, tenor soloist and concert producer, both locally and abroad. Upon returning from Germany in 2017, Scott strives to promote different portfolios of classical vocal and choral repertoire to the Malaysian audiences, such as “The Singing Balcony” initiative. He also directs several long running lecture recitals consisting of 4 key programs to-date, namely “Renaissance & Baroque Gems”, “Art Song Artistry”, “Opera Galore” and “Sounds of Iberia & Latin America”;  delivered primarily via VerSeS Music Ensembles with the collaboration of local tertiary institutions, art galleries and music schools. Scott enjoys sharing music in no-frills settings and hopes to see music making and music appreciation become a part of everyday life. He is the director and vocal coach of VerSeS - the KL Madrigal Singers.

Scott Woo

Chie Haur is currently principal flute of the National Symphony Orchestra Malaysia. As a chamber musician as well as soloist, he has appeared in several musical events such as Steinway Historical Roadshow in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, Johor Bahru Arts Festival and Malaysian Youth Orchestra Foundation Music Festival. Besides, he has also performed in international festivals in Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia, as well as a chamber recital in Melbourne, Australia. His professional orchestral experiences also include Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and Macao Orchestra. He was also an orchestral member of Canton International Summer Music Academy Guangzhou, China and Asian Youth Orchestra.

Foo Chie Haur

A seasoned concert performer and classical guitarist from Malaysia. YS Tang holds a Master's degree in Music performance. Beside his teaching commitments, YS Tang maintains a busy performance schedule, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician, with a particular emphasis on early music. He conducts public seminars covering various aspects of classical guitar. Additionally, he collaborates closely with VerSeS - KL Madrigal Singers and actively engages in outreach programs, with the aim of promoting classical music to the wider public, particularly among younger audiences.

马来西亚古典吉他演奏家，邓宇襄(YS Tang)音乐演奏系硕士。留学美国德州，在德州获得多所大学的奖学金也曾任职大学助教。邓老师目前在本地几所大学和马来西亚艺术学院授课，同时也相当活跃于独奏与合奏演出，及呈现吉他相关课题的讲座会。

YiLing completed her honors degree in Vocal and Operatic studies in Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK. She won several competitions and one of those awarded her a full scholarship to further her postgraduate degree in Kodály Institute of Liszt Academy, Hungary, She graduated with first class with the title of Kodály expert. She is currently a graduate research assistant in a local university for her doctorate degree. YiLing’s presence is celebrated in many operas, especially in several lead roles like Hansel and Gretel, La Voix Humaine and Carmen. Her performances and masterclasses given set her feets in England, Hungary, Australia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar and Malaysia. Her contribution to culture and music has been awarded with PJM from the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang. She carried her duty as adjunct lecturer of Fairview University College, Sunway University, ASWARA, UCSI University, and currently a full-time lecturer at UiTM.

《來往》多媒體迷你音樂會由《憶初見》、《此刻的幻象》兩個作品組成。 「來往」二字意味著靈魂入世、去世的人世旅程，人身艱難奮鬥，對靈魂來說卻是來往一趟的暫時居留而已。 《憶初見》則用鋼琴低音敲擊模仿心跳，代表著初心，與初見的心情。與影像搭配，經過激昂與黑暗，最後將情感達成昇華。《此刻的幻象》明白地以六個段落，讓隱藏不可見的鋼琴彈奏者，與舞者、影像、電子聲響搭配，描述靈魂的人身之旅。 
 
&ldquo;Come and Go&rdquo; multimedia mini concert is build from two pieces. &ldquo;Recolleting The First Time Enconter&rdquo; and &ldquo;Illustration In This Moment.&rdquo; &ldquo;Come and Go&rdquo; means even it is tough for a human in his/her whole life, it is just &ldquo;in and out&rdquo; for a soul&rsquo;s journey in his/her human form. A temporary stay. There are low section notes of piano to imitate heart beats in &ldquo;Recolleting The First Time Enconter.&rdquo; They speak about the emotion of the first time encounter of someone, too. With video, the emotion becomes passionate, and dark, then sublimating finally. &ldquo;Illustration In This Moment&rdquo; goes with six section. A dancer, electronic acoustic music, video and an invisible piano player describes a human journey of a soul.

何侊倢《來往》多媒體迷你音樂會

In C , 建構於1960年代的極簡主義音樂，該曲目由54個各自獨立的片段所組成，在每個片段的交錯下，各聲部或節奏之間的融合產生彼此間的和諧或衝突，產生不同的時間差卻又平衡著不同的拍點與弦律間的對話。 
 
The piece begins on a C major chord (patterns one through seven) with a strong emphasis on the mediant E and the entrance of the note F which begins a series of slow progressions to other chords suggesting a few subtle and ambiguous changes of key, the last pattern being an alternation between B♭ and G. Though the polyphonic interplay of the various patterns against each other and themselves at different rhythmic displacements is of primary interest, the piece may be considered heterophonic.

擷取《春閨夢》選段，一對剛新婚的夫妻，丈夫王恢被強徵參軍，張氏在家終日盼著丈夫歸來，不覺積思成夢，穿插《詩經》篇幅作為轉折，襯托張氏在現實與夢境轉換。 
 
本節目於2022年受邀於全州國際藝術節首演。 
 
Falling into Dreams is an excerpt from &ldquo;A Young Wife&rsquo;s Dream,&rdquo; a classic piece of Chinese opera. The play tells a story about a young man called WANG Hui, who is forced to join the army shortly marrying ZHANG. The newly-married wife waits bitterly for her husband to return but is disappointed day after day. The utter despair turns into dreams. Passages from &ldquo;The Book of Poetry&rdquo; interweave throughout the play to depict ZHANG&rsquo;s wandering between dream and reality. 
 
This program is invited to premiere at the Jeonju International Sori Festival in 2022.

This is a fantasy based on the story of a young indigenous girl named Sayion that crosses time and space. Behind the political distortion of this tale exists imagination. Sayion II makes use of the latest interactive new media technologies, in addition to interpretation through contemporary body movement. Artistic director Yu-Chiou Tchen called on Hsin-Chien Huang, AKIBO (Kaohsiung World Games designer), Music Director and Composer Chia-Hui Lu, director and choreographer Jeff Hsieh (one of the directors of the Taipei Summer Universiade), Li-Chuan Lin, IF+ and Eslite Performance Hall to collaborate on this production. 
 
It is comprised of three acts, Search, Obsession and Death, to describe the fleeing and searching of various generations. Lost in a maze and in pursuit amid a varicolored world, reality and fantasy shift and interweave to create a magical realm. With 720-degree VR positioning and 3D real-time motion capture system responding to suspension equipment, dancers break free from the spatial limitations and frame of the stage. Brilliant colors captivate the audience, creating a unique sensory experience!
