Time After Time

Synopsis     

How do songs embody the spirit of their time? Why do we still remember and listen to them today?

Time After Time celebrates some of the biggest hits of the last eight decades, exploring how the songs of each generation describe the reality of the day. Despite the differences and how things have changed, they transcend time and generations, leaving a lasting impression for those who come after them.

Performed at the KuAsh Theatre in TTDI, the show will include pop and music theatre numbers that evoke nostalgia and provide a glimpse into life over the years – sung a cappella or with a live four-piece band.

Part of the proceeds from Time After Time will go towards Project R.ED (Reimagine Education), a new NGO that provides educational training for refugee children through academic classes, leadership training, and educational field trips, among other things.

About Tapestry   

Tapestry is a home-grown vocal group that was formed in 2012 out of a passion for music and singing. Tapestry’s repertoire spans a wide genre, and includes spirituals, contemporary pop, jazz, blues, gospel, music theatre, and rock in conventional four-part harmony and exciting eight-part harmonies which are predominantly sung a cappella. The group has since produced nine sold-out shows; Christmas Tapestry (2012), Stereo & Popcorn (2013), Human After All (2014), The Living Room Sessions (2015), About Aisya (2016), Christmas-themed A-cap-pel-la la la la la la (2016), their 5th-anniversary celebration, Tape5try (2017), The Living Room Sessions: Sofa So Good (2018), and Anthology (2022). Tapestry is looking forward to connect with their audience once again through their love for music.

Tickets

• Tickets are available online at CloudJoi until showtime, subject to availability.
• For sold-out shows, guests may purchase walk-in tickets at the door, subject to availability. Please check our social media platforms for up-to-date ticketing information.
• Children under 4 years of age who can sit comfortably on their parent’s/guardian’s laps do not require a ticket.

Seating

• Doors will open 20 minutes before showtime.
• Please be punctual. Otherwise, latecomers may be seated when there is a suitable break during the performance to minimize disruption.
• Row J is wheelchair accessible.

Location

• The show will be held at KuAsh Theatre which is located within the grounds of Pusat Kreatif Kanak-kanak Tuanku Bainun (48 Jalan Tun Mohd Fuad, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur).
• Access to the performance space is wheelchair friendly.

Parking and Transportation

• Parking is available on-site.
• If travelling by public transport, alight at the Taman Tun Dr Ismail MRT Station and take a Grab to the venue.

Food and Beverage

• There is a café within the grounds of Pusat Kreatif Kanak-kanak Tuanku Bainun (please check online for the exact opening times).
• Various dining options are also available nearby the venue in the bustling TTDI neighbourhood.
