Naque Ariffin

Naque Ariffin is a Malaysian theatre practitioner whose work spans directing, lighting design and acting. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre (Directing) from the National Academy of Arts, Culture and Heritage (ASWARA) and a Master’s Degree in Urban Arts and Cultural Industries from the Jakarta Institute of the Arts (Institut Kesenian Jakarta). A full-time lecturer at the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI), he’s the recipient of Best Lighting Design for Dance at the 21st Boh Cameroian Arts Awards (2026), Best Director- Festival Teater Asean (2025), Anugerah Bakat Muda Teater Malaysia (2023), Anugerah Pencahayaan Terbaik (2023) in Malaysian Theatre Festival, Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the 9th Boh Cameronian Arts Awards, Best Actor - Pentas Ekspresi Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (2017), and Best Actor- Festival Teater Pendek Negeri Sembilan (2016).
