Getting To Know You

A PERFORMANCE WITHOUT REHEARSALS

Nightclub. New Year’s Eve. After years apart, Eri and Alex meet again, wondering why there aren’t any coming-of-age stories for people in their 30s. What follows is a study of belief: in friendship, in dark spaces, and in the people we give our hearts to.

To perform this, the two actors each night will have neither seen nor rehearsed the script before stepping onto stage, guided only by the text and the audience. Our designers join them in the unknown, shaping light and sound live as the performance unfolds.

This is Getting To Know You’s Malaysian premiere, following its run in Singapore earlier this month.
