变形记 Metamorphosis

《变形记》改编自卡夫卡的著名小说，通过肢体、戏剧与视觉叙事，探讨“变形”、“疏离”与“自我认同”的主题。演出以客家话与华语呈现，并附有英文字幕，由来自沙巴，槟城与吉隆坡的五位独立艺术家共同创作。这是一场亚庇少有的自制剧场演出，凝聚本土艺术家的热情与创作。作品映照出现代人所面对的挣扎与情感，为观众带来一场充满启发性的剧场体验。希望借由这部作品鼓励并推动沙巴的艺术发展。

Metamorphosis is an adaptation of Franz Kafka’s classic novella, exploring themes of transformation, alienation, and identity through physical theatre, drama, and visual storytelling.

Performed in Hakka dialect and Mandarin with English subtitles, the production is a collaboration among five independent artists from Sabah, Penang& Kuala Lumpur.

This is a rare self-produced theatre production in Kota Kinabalu, created by dedicated local artists.The play reflects the struggles and emotions faced by many in today’s world, offering a powerful and thought-provoking experience for audiences. 

We hope this work will inspire and contribute to the continued growth of the arts in Sabah.
