Mitchell Liong, widely known as Mitch, is a graduate of TUTAS (The Actors Studio at Taylor's University) specializing in the Technical Track. A multidisciplinary practitioner, Mitch has a deep passion for the technical, backstage, and design aspects of theatre.
Since beginning her journey in 2022, Mitch has built a diverse portfolio. While she started as a dancer in "54321" (2022), her role as an actor and sound designer/operator for "Wherefore Art Thou, Juilet?" (2023) where she discovered her affinity for the technical world. She has since expanded her expertise, serving as the Production Stage Manager, Set & Lighting Designer/Operator for "Mariam" (2023) and taking on the roles of Production Stage Manager, Scenographer, and Projector Operator for "Oh Blue, I Love You Too" (2024).
Her dedication to excellence was recognized at Short & Sweet 2024 (Dance Category), where she won Best Overall Production in collaboration with Zhafir Muzani. In 2025, Mitch broadened her horizons further, making her musical debut in "Searching…" and entering the Chinese theatre scene as the Lighting and Set Designer for "Metamorphosis" (Sabah).
With experience ranging from stage crew to Front of House, Mitch is an eager and versatile creative who continues to seek new challenges in the performing arts.
