Twenty years ago, five comedians started doing stand-up around the same time. Against all common sense, they’re still doing it.
Andrew Netto, Papi Zak, Kuah Jenhan, Kavin Jay and Phoon Chi Ho reunite for The Farce in Their Forties: PJ Riff, a celebration of 20 years in comedy, friendship, bad decisions and somehow making a career out of telling jokes to strangers.
They’ve spent the last two decades performing across Malaysia and beyond, building their own careers and watching the local comedy scene grow alongside them. Now, for one night, the five come back together to do what started all of this in the first place: stand-up comedy.
No nostalgia slideshow. No inspirational speeches about the journey. Just five old friends, five very different comedy styles and twenty years' worth of experience on one stage.
