A MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA Traditional Teochew Opera Music and Drum 鼓乐融和 剧曲兴潮

2015至2019年，新山融和兴儒乐社与广东潮剧院多次合作，曾在汕头，香港，新山等地联合演出。

2015年，新山融和兴儒乐社首度凭着《浪淘沙》一曲走入广东汕头慧如剧场演出，成为有史以来在该歌剧场演出演奏员平均年龄最小（15岁）的团体。

暌违多年，新山融和兴儒乐社与《金秋之夜》的作曲家陈创然老师和多年在雪隆一带致力于文化传承并已有八十高龄的吴俊標老师将再度携手合作，将精彩演出首次带入马来西亚歌剧院。

2023年是融和兴儒乐社满15周岁的一年。在这别具意义的一年，《鼓乐融和 剧曲兴潮》希望将观众带到五邦色彩浓厚的新山走一回，一同进入剧场了解发源广东，传承到新山的潮州曲艺文化的起源、嬗变和发展，领略潮州传统文化与本土文化艺术交融、碰撞出的新火花。

From 2015 to 2019, Yong Wah Heng Music and Drama Club had been collaborating with Guangdong Teochew Opera Troupe to perform in various places, which include Shantou, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. 

In 2015, Yong Wah Heng Music and Drama Club made an appearance to perform the Teochew traditional music 《Waves are Gently Drenching the Sand》 at Guangdong, Shantou Hui Ru Teochew Artistic Centre. It was the significant milestone for the club as we were honoured to be announced as the performing team with the youngest performers, which is an average of 15 years old. 

Years have passed and this year, the club is going to work hand in hand with the  composer of Teochew traditional drum 《The Night of Golden Autumn》 Mr. Chen ChuangRan, from China as well as Mr. Goh Choon Piow, who is an active contributor in conservation and promotion of Teochew traditional cultural music in Malaysia, striving to pamper the audience with a different auditory-visual sensory experience.

In Teochew culture, 15 years old symbolises adulthood. This year, in conjuction with the meaningful 15th anniversary celebration, A MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA Traditional Teochew Opera Music and Drum will showcase the charm of Teochew traditional music, opera and drum, at the same time indulge in the cultural diversity in the southern gem of Malaysia, the bustling city, Johor Bahru, through the performances.
