關於
Join us for a 3-hour program focused on deepening your connection with nature through observation, curiosity, and creativity. The Old Klang Road Nature Journal Connection combines writing, sketching, and documenting to help participants explore and capture the biodiversity around them. During the session, we will explore our surroundings, collect a few plants that represent the area, and sketch these specimens from different angles, noting their unique features. By combining detailed observation with a larger sense of place, we aim to create lasting memories and insights into the natural world through nature journaling.
The program will be held at Kongsi Co-op on Old Klang Road, with a special focus on identifying plant species and gaining a deeper understanding of our environment. By sketching and writing, we not only capture the moment but also build a record of observations that might otherwise be forgotten. Your entries can later serve as inspiration for other creative projects such as writing, painting, textiles, music, or other crafts. Additionally, your nature journal can contribute to citizen science efforts by recording species sightings and ecological observations.
Materials to Bring:
To make the most of the session, please bring the following:
- A sketch or notebook (blank or lined)
- Ballpoint pen and pencil (2H/HB)
- Colored pencils and ruler (for sketching details)
- A mat or tikar for sitting outdoors
