A rehearsed reading of JIT MURAD’S ENTOURAGE

JitFest2025 honours the creative genius of Jit Murad, passing on his passion for storytelling to the next generation of bold, boundary-pushing Malaysian voices.

As part of the February program, we present a rehearsed reading of Entourage, scheduled for a full staging in November 2025.

Set against the backdrop of Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant 1990s economic boom, Entourage follows a lively group of friends on a night out that spirals into chaos after a sudden murder. At the heart of the group is Ghani, a charismatic artist with sharp opinions on art and society, surrounded by an eclectic mix of characters—each harbouring their own ambitions and secrets. As the night unfolds, tensions rise, leading to one haunting question: Who among them is capable of murder?

Directed by Dato' Zahim Albakri, this reading features: Ghafir Akbar, Jerrica Xufei Lai, Malik Taufiq, Harry Zain Dresen, Mae Elliessa, Yusuf Amin, Mia Sara Shauki, Firdaus Sufiyan, Nabil Zakaria, Daus, and Nicholas Augustin.
