马来亚大学创意艺术系博士在读（主攻艺术管理与表演艺术发展）；马来西亚木卡空间创办人兼行政总监；马来亚大学研究生课程顾问和新纪元大学学院戏剧与影像系特邀讲师；在吉隆坡表演艺术中心（klpac）担任高管期间，负责领域涵盖剧场管理、演出创作与制作、艺术节策划、文旅演出及艺术教育。
创设世界偶戏联盟马来西亚中心及马来西亚偶艺协会等艺术组织。统筹管理4个剧场、策划与制作18次艺术节及300多个演出项目，其中有”2024 永远的契诃夫”戏剧演出季、纪念莎士比亚逝世400周年演出季，累计演出近三千场。编导了大小剧目约21部，出版9本戏剧书籍，发表多篇学术文章，内容涵盖艺术管理、马来传统与现代戏剧发展及马来西亚偶剧发展研究。制作与创作的舞台作品入围国内外近120项奖项，荣获约80次艺术大奖。2023年，凭借《罪人》获得最佳戏剧、最佳导演等五项大奖，于2024年受邀参与香港“亞藝无疆”演出季。
Easee Gan
PhD Candidate in Performing Arts (Drama) at the University of Malaya, specialising in Arts Management and Performing Arts Development. Founder and Executive Producer of MUKA Space (Malaysia), Postgraduate Program Advisor at the University of Malaya, and Guest Lecturer at the New Era University College. Former senior executive at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac), overseeing theatre management, production, arts festival planning, cultural tourism performances, and arts education.
Founded several arts organisations, including UNIMA Malaysia (World Puppetry Union) and the Malaysian Puppetry Association. Managed 4 theatres and produced 18 arts festivals and over 300 performance projects, including the “2024 The Eternal Chekhov” Drama Season and the Shakespeare 400 series commemorating the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. Directed approximately 21 productions, published 9 theatre-related books, and authored multiple academic articles on topics such as arts management, the evolution of traditional Malay and modern theatre, and the development of Malaysian puppetry.
His works have been nominated for nearly 120 international and domestic awards, winning approximately 80. In 2023, his production Atonement won 5 major awards, including Best Drama and Best Director. In 2024, he has been invited to participate in Hong Kong’s Asia+ Festival.
